IEEE SENSORS 2018 Student Scholarship Opportunity
IEEE SENSORS 2018 is pleased to announce a Student Scholarship opportunity to help students attend and present their papers in this conference. ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE.
The Student Scholarship consists of a monetary award equivalent of $250-$300 to be used toward registration fees, conference hotel expenses, and travel costs by the grantee. The scholarship is independent from the required registration fee that is determined by the actual registration date and type.
Eligibility for Scholarship:
The applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
- The applicant is a presenting author of an accepted conference paper, lecture or poster.
- The applicant is a full-time student registered toward a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in engineering or a related field in a college or university when submitting the application
- The applicant is experiencing financial hardship in covering conference costs.
Decisions will be made on a rolling basis for applications received between September 24th and October 1st. Decisions may include consideration for the paper rank. Applicants must complete conference registration and upload their paper by September 28th. Applicants will be notified of the decision within 72 hours after the application. The scholarship award will be given in form of a check to the grantee, in person, on the registration desk of IEEE SENSORS 2018 on October 30th. Grantees will be required to complete and submit the certain forms, including a voucher form and the US IRS W-8/W-9 Form. Grantees will also be required to submit the following items:
- Original registration fee payment receipt
- Bonafide certificate of student status from the university/college
- Paper acceptance email
The decision of the Organizing Committee of IEEE SENSORS 2018 shall be considered final.
